Labyrinth Tips

Here is a list some precautions that one should consider before going into The Labyrinth. Utilizing “defensive layers” is important when dealing with The Labyrinth

Pantheon Points

Physical Damage Mitigation

Izaro deals large amounts of Physical Damage so mitigation for this damage is very important.

  • Basalt Flask – Grants 15% Physical Damage Reduction during flask effect.
  • Granite Flask – Grants +3000 Armour during Flask Effect.
  • Arctic Armour – Grants 8-13% less Physical Damage when hit and 8%-12% less Fire Damage taken when hit

  • Stibnite Flask – Creates a smoke cloud, inflicting blind during flask effect. This makes it easier to avoid damage since monsters can not target the player directly if blinded.

Skills

These are a few skills that can definitely help when combating Izaro.

  • Decoy Totem – Taunts enemies causing them to target the totem instead of the player.
  • Temporal Chains – Cursed enemies are (20-29)% slower. This is helpful to make it easier to avoid Izaro’s attacks by making his animations slower.
  • Enfeeble – Cursed enemies have (18-37)% reduced Accuracy Rating, Cursed enemies have 25% reduced Critical Strike Chance, Cursed enemies deal (21-30)% less Damage, Cursed enemies have -(21-30)% to Critical Strike Multiplier

Traps

There are a number of items that can help mitigate and cope with traps. One important mechanic is life regeneration. This mechanic is important in the Labyrinth since a lot of players tend to die on traps.

Regeneration:

  • Devouring Totem – regenerates 30-299 life per corpse consumed.
  • Rejuvenation Totem – Grants 6.3 to 162.2 Life Regenerated per second.
  • Stone Golem – Grants  33-105 Life Regenerated per second.
  • Vitality – Grants 0.7-1.65% Life Regenerated per second.
  • Enduring Cry – Grants 48 to 394 Life Regenerated per second.
  • Springleaf Plank Kite Shield – Grants 3% Life Regenerated per second and 3% Life Regenerated per second on Low Life.
  • Shaper’s Seed Agate Amulet – Grants 2% Life Regenerated per second and nearby Allies gain 2% of Life Regenerated per second.
  • Bloodgrip Marble Amulet – Grants 1.2 to 1.6% Life Regenerated per second and Moving while bleeding doesn’t cause you to take extra Damage
  • Soul Strike – Grants 80% faster start of Energy Shield Recharge. This is a great weapon swap item for energy shield builds.(Energy Shield Builds)

Physical Damage Mitigation:

  • Darkscorn Assassin Bow – This bow convert 25% of Physical Damage Taken as Chaos Damage. This bow is really good in combination with Soul Strike as a weapon swap for Energy Shield builds.
  • Basalt Flask – Grants 15% Physical Damage Reduction during flask effect.
  • Granite Flask – Grants +3000 Armour during Flask Effect.
  • Arctic Armour – Grants 8-13% less Physical Damage when hit and 8%-12% less Fire Damage taken when hit
  • Endurance Charges – Grants 4% Physical Damage reduction per Endurance Charge
  • Fortify – Grants 20% reduced damage taken from ALL damage types.
  • Taste of Hate Sapphire Flask – Converts Physical Damage taken to Cold Damage Taken and Increases Maximum Cold Resistance during flask effect.

Miscellaneous:

  • Writhing Jar – Releases 2 enemy worms. This is perfect for characters that use leech. It also procs “killed recently” as well as serves as an instant flask.
  • of Warding” Flask Mod– The Suffix “of Warding” removes curses. This is very helpful when navigating through Curse Sentries. Also, it removes the curses from The Font Phase.
  • of Staunching” Flask mod – The Suffix “of Staunching” removes bleeding on use. This is a most important when dealing with traps.

Movement

These 3 movement skills are the best simply due to the fact that you can completely jump over traps and not get damaged. Other movement skills are good as well, just not as efficient.

Having 1 or even 2 life flasks can really help get out of a dangerous situation.

  • Quicksilver FlaskIncreases movement speed during flask effects. Aids in dodging attacks.

General Rule of Thumb

  • Stay away from Charge Disruptors or Gargoyles

  1. Great work. I rely on it for every run. Have you updated the various skill effects and gear lately? Some look out of date.

  2. Hello. I have 90k evasion 90k armour 3.5 life and 1.5 es pretty good movement cap resistance -60% chaos
And I die in 2 seconds from the spinning wheel s wuuut?

    • unfortunately the spinning wheels deal damage over time, and neither evasion nor armour protects against that (even though it’s physical). as silly as it may seem, you’re basically naked against them. there are some other traps that also deal dot, i don’t remember which
