3. leaving comments on our site

-data gathered in this way includes: username (optional); email (optional); IP Address; page (and comment you’re responding to, if any); and time/day of the comment

4. visiting our site

-data gathered in this way includes: your IP address; your internet browser; your operating system; date/time you visit our site

-this information is gathered in a non-identifiable fashion. This means we can not tell ‘who,’ exactly an IP address belongs to, on any basis’s, such as: username; email; etc. by simply visiting our site, alone.

Of the data gathered by visiting and interacting with our site, these items are the only ones which we, ourselves, control and have permanent access to. Some of our third party associations mentioned below may gather some of this data, all the same, such as IP addresses of our visitors. Beyond the specified parties mentioned in our privacy policy, we have no interest or reason to share any of this data that we, ourselves, have access to. – we use this party primarily for features such as: enhanced site security; performance boosting features (eg- images’ lazy loading); and small quality of life features (eg- ‘likes’ for comments on the site). Using their services for those reasons just mentioned also comes bundled with analytical data gathering features which pertain to this section, on this page.

-the analytical gathering data collected is similar to google analytics, though not as comprehensive, in comparison, in this regard. Specifically, we use data gathered in this regard, such as: referring sites/sources (where users came to our site from); visits per page (which pages are getting viewed, and how many views they get (and when)); user clicks (what links on this site users are clicking, and how many clicks for each); which search engine terms users are entering, which lead them to this site; and subscription/comment related data (how many subscribers and comments, and what pages this data occurs on)

3. Cloudflare:

– we use this party primarily for features such as: enhanced site security; performance boosting features (eg- caching); and DDOS protection. Using their services for those reasons just mentioned also comes bundled with analytical data gathering features which pertain to this section, on this page.

-the analytical gathering data collected by cloudflare is primarily used for their purposes, more so than ours. This data includes information relevant for their threat detection and monitoring services.

this data is gathered, via 3rd party implementations, such as cookies/web-beacons, which aim to provide users with more relevant advertising content, based on their interests.

Specifically, this refers to certain items mentioned in the above ‘Log Files’ section. to make such requests, simply contact us using the form provided on this page (contact/feedback link). From there, users will be required to verify their request via email. This is to ensure that user-requests for user-data results in data that is verifiably linked to the real user account, to better protect our users as a whole. Once verified, our site’s tool will send another email, containing the information, available for the user to download. If for some reason the user considers the information sent to them, to be non-comprehensive, we will communicate with them and ensure that their request is satisfied to the fullest extent possible.

Security and your data:

Poelab.com has multiple security measures in place designed to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our infrastructure is protected by a firewall and traffic is monitored and logged both on the firewall and servers. Administrative access is limited to authorized administrative accounts which require certain administration protocols and/or IP addresses. Poelab.com does (and will continue to) conduct periodic scans via the use of its security systems and make all necessary enhancements to ensure the safety of the website and its users.
